Bookkeeping

Your business finances shouldn’t be a mystery and working with us will make it simple!  By having a good grasp of your income and expenses you’ll run your business with confidence and be able to sleep at night!

what is bookkeeping?

Bookkeeping is the recording and organisation of all financial transactions of a business, including the essential day to day functions such as raising invoices, paying bills and processing payroll.  Alongside the actual services you offer, this is the most important part of your business.

Without bookkeeping you can very quickly get into trouble, as you won’t be aware of your business’ financial situation and may struggle to pay suppliers, staff and even taxes!

By working with us, there will be no nasty surprises when it comes to payments due, taxes or how much money you can take from the business, giving you peace of mind to get on with what you do best.

Cash really is the key to having a successful business that can grow. Understanding how much cash your business needs and the relationship between cash and available money to spend takes the stress and guesswork out of running a business.

Grow With Confidence

Running a business blind is a dangerous place to be. By having your financials at your fingertips, you will be able to make decisions to grow your business with confidence, knowing that it is the right move to take!

Stay Up to Date

When running a business, there are lots of deadlines that need to be hit to stay on the right side of the law. This includes things such as tax filings, Companies House documents and payroll information. This a lot to keep on top off, so having a bookkeeper should give you the confidence to do what you do best!

Push Towards Your Goals

Whether you are aiming to just make a good living or want to build an empire, bookkeeping provides the right foundations for businesses of any shape or size to achieve their goals.

frequently asked questions

Give us a call or book in for a chat.  We’ll discuss your business with you in detail to decide the best package for you.

Pricing will depend on the size and type of your business and the number of transactions you make.  You will find the pricing very competitive as we work quickly as well as accurately.

We use accounting software (either Xero or FreeAgent) to record your financial transactions, giving you access to a huge raft of information on your business at any point in time.  Using software also improves efficiency and reduces human errors.  This also helps to ensure that your business complies with the Making Tax Digital requirements.

Making Tax Digital is a Government requirement for a business to keep digital records and file tax returns using MTD software.

Bookkeepers provide accurate and timely information for accountants to produce the legally required accounts and tax returns.  An accountant’s cost is generally much higher than a bookkeeper, so using a bookkeeper often saves a significant amount of money.

We would strongly recommend that you have a business bank account to make it easy to keep business and personal transactions separate to keep track of your finances.

Definitely.  We deal with people’s finances all day long, so we will be much quicker than you at your bookkeeping.  This means you can get on with doing the things you enjoy such as taking on more clients, growing the business or just having a day off!
