At Focus Business Services, we strongly believe that people deal with people, so we thought we’d tell you a bit more about the team members who would be working with you. Relationship building and trust is at the core of what we do, and we want our clients to feel that they have an extension to their own team – not just an outsourced function!
Who are we?
We are a family business with over 40 years combined experience of running multiple businesses, and working with clients of all of different sizes and backgrounds. Day to day, we have found that we are constantly frustrated by the lack of good service and accountability, so we’re here to change that!
Our aim is to make running your business a lot easier, giving you the time to do what you want to be doing, whether that’s generate more business, stay on the tools or just have some time off.
Whilst our background is in finance, there isn’t much we haven’t turned our hand to, from websites, branding and implementation of our own CRM systems to creating multiple calculators and modelling tools in Excel and solving our own IT problems in house.
Who makes up the team?
GINA CHRISTOPHER
Gina has an unmatched attention to detail, is an absolute whizz with systems and software, as well as a proofreading extraordinaire – nothing gets past Gina!
Whilst Gina’s initial plan was to be an accountant, she instead set up her own business in asset finance which has been going strong for over 30 years and is the longest standing female founded brokerage in the UK.
Good old fashioned service and morals are hugely important to Gina, and forms the basis of our values at FBS.
In her spare time you will find Gina with a paintbrush or tool in hand, decorating or gardening as well as spending time with family and four legged friends.
RACHEL CHRISTOPHER
Rachel’s childhood dream was to be a medical doctor, but when Gina was short staffed one summer after A Levels, she went to ‘help out’. 8 years later (by which point she still wouldn’t have been fully qualified as a doctor), she’s still working in the asset finance brokerage and has gone from starting out in admin, through to sales and is now Commercial Manager, managing all of our client and vendor partnerships!
With a love for Excel and a passion for financial literacy and money management from a young age, Rachel decided to complete her AAT exams and is now a qualified bookkeeper.
Rachel has a keen eye for detail and a flair for writing, so really enjoys the more creative elements of business from marketing to branding.
When not working as Commercial Manager, Rachel also owns another business and is responsible for scheduling, managing, and invoicing around 180 jobs per month. In her spare time Rachel loves to cook and would go on Great British Bake off in heartbeat!
So yes, we are a small team, but this will absolutely not take away from the value we can add to your business. In fact we believe that a smaller team enables us to build stronger relationships and helps us to really get to know your business on a better level, meaning less frustration for you and more value for money!
